If you get pulled over by the cops and are ticketed for driving with no insurance you will probably have to maintain SR22 for three years. The same goes for being convicted of Driving Under the Influence (DUI). You may also be required to carry SR22 if the DMV does a random check of the insurance on a car you have registered in your name and you cannot prove you had insurance on a particular day.
An SR22 form is nothing more than a piece of paper proving you have insurance. How do you get one of those pieces of paper you ask? Check with your insurance agent or company and see if you have the type of policy which will allow the printing and mailing of an SR22 form. If not, call us at 503-693-2852. We'll be happy to quote you and help find the best rate with the SR22 certificate included. And if you haven't been suspended yet, we'll get an SR22 into your hands so you can deliver it to the Oregon DMV.
